YOUNG SCIENTIST WINNERS

We are pleased to announce the recent success in two events that has been achieved by our students. Several students in Year 11 joined in our inaugural participation in the Physics Challenge, which was sponsored by Oxford University. For first time entrants our students did very well coming away with many certificates of commendation and some Bronze Award certificates as well, so well done to them.

  • Young scientist winners

At around the same time we had some students from Year 9 and one from Year 11 take part in the annual Vienna Science Fair. We had three entries this year and again they returned very successful. Ebrahim Al Qanei and Daniel Mistrik received a merit for their entry and Matthew Jakubek; Denis Mistrik and Simon Stora were awarded an excellent for theirs. Melissa Sirotkova was involved in the Physics Challenge and she received an excellent for her entry in the Science Fair. On top of this she also won the “Women in Nuclear Best project in Senior Division” prize for the second year running at the Science Fair.

So congratulations to all of these students and we look forward to similar success over the coming years.
