Bake sale

Bake sale

Wednesday, 14th of December, class of 13IB organised a bake sale for the Collège Champittet Foundation. The students were selling chocolate brownies, yogurt cakes, candy canes, festive cookies and hot chocolate.

Award-winning author

Award-winning author, Anne Wilsdorf, visits 5th and 6th grade students

On December 14th, the author of « Ingénieuse Eugénie » (Engineer Eugénie) and winner of the 2016 francophone Saint-Exupéry Prize, Anne Wilsdorf, presented her book to the grade 5 and 6 students on Champittet’s Pully campus. The French Saint Exupéry Prize is awarded to author who lives in a francophone country other than France. A jury of students chooses one of the eight books proposed by the Saint Exupéry Prize committee. During the summer of 2016, three of the eight students who read the nominated books on the Swiss jury were from Champittet.

Hour of Code

During the weeks between December 5th to 21st, the grade 6, 7, 8 and 8 students participated in the Hour of Code computer course! More than 180 countries and over 300 000 000 students, including Champittet students, took part in this global event.

Retreat to Rome

Our chaplain, Father Charles, took a very international group of 15 students from Mexico, Ireland, Russia and France to Rome for a spiritual and cultural journey from November 30th to December 4th.

On Thursday 11th and Friday 12th November, Collège Champittet flew in British children's author, Damian Harvey to do English writing workshops with the children in Years 4 - 8 at Nyon and Pully.
