Latest Professional Development from Juilliard Performing Arts specialists The Juilliard Creative Classroom has added new activities over the past year and we worked through professional performances and activities that will inspire our students in the topics coming up this term.

Music met with the fabulous singer / song writer Ashley Renee Watkins, our Juilliard Music Curriculum specialist last week. Ashley Renee guided us through some activities and focused on how to tailor works to different year groups. The Juilliard Creative Classroom has added so many new activities over the past year and we worked through professional performances and activities that will inspire our students in the topics coming up this term. It’s wonderful to have this training, support and inspiration from Ashley Renee to feed into our teaching.

The Drama department had some great CPD with the whole Drama team from Juilliard and fellow Drama teachers from across the NAE family. We explored an exciting new core work ‘Uncle Vanya’ that we will be able to share with students very soon. NAIS HK Drama department also had a more specialised session exploring new elements of The Juilliard Creative Classroom with our Drama Curriculum Specialist, theatre director Stephanie Cunningham. She guided us through some units of work that we are super excited to use with our Primary students this term, particularly developing the storytelling and clowning skills.
