Ann Djedid

Ann Djedid

Head of Campus, Al Rayyan

I am now in my 11th year at CISD and was very proud to celebrate our achievements at the recent 10th Anniversary celebration. I was part of the original ‘Start- up Team’ at the school. Originally qualified as a Primary Teacher in Scotland, I have over thirty years’ experience in both education and leadership.

I have been in Qatar for many years and had the privilege of teaching and leading in prestigious schools. Before taking up my current role as Head of Campus, I was Head of the International Primary Curriculum and English respectively at CISD. I have also held the positions of Head of KS1 and Head of English at other leading schools in Qatar.

I originally came to Qatar with my family and the ethos at CISD really appealed to me as an educator. I enjoyed the challenge of setting up a new school and being part of its development. Since then I have pursued my leadership ambitions, completing ILMP Middle Leadership and Senior Leadership qualifications and more recently the Nord Anglia University Senior Leadership programme. I also have an EAL qualification which is particularly relevant in our context. Every day I am thrilled by the learning taking place in school and the fabulous children we have from truly multicultural backgrounds. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with so many talented teachers who pride themselves in setting high expectations and encourage children to ‘be ambitious.’
