A Curriculum Centered in "Real World" Learning

  • ES Real World

The WPS Entrepreneurial Studies Program is grounded in real world, experiential learning. We use real entrepreneurs to teach students real world principals of business and entrepreneurship through....

  1. Real startup creation using “Lean Launch" Methodology with real mentor support systems built to facilitate student's go-to market strategies and business plans.

  2. Pitch presentations to real world investors and lending experts.

  3. Actual Entrepreneurs giving in-class instruction on every area of the entrepreneurial process including startup creation, finance, sales and marketing, business and patent law, principals of funding, ethics, and branding - just to name a few.

  4. Current business owners and CEOs allowing students full access to their companies to solve their real business problems.

  5. Real stories from real entrepreneurs as part of our ‘learn by failure’ case study series.

We give students hands-on access to the real world of entrepreneurship through the following events….

  1. An annual networking event off-property where local entrepreneurs, VCs, banking experts and third level business organizations are all invited to meet our young entrepreneurial students.

  2. Annual startup presentation night where students pitch their startups to real venture capitalists and lending experts. Its our very own Shark Tank

  3. Students make multiple field trips to visit businesses and to meet in conference settings.

Our program is sponsored and endorsed by a growing number of…

  1. Third level business institutions - The entire program and our entrepreneurial students are promoted and exposed annually to top tier business schools.

  2. Local and national companies - The program is supported by an impressive list of business owners, corporations and institutions all whom are invested in the real world learning for our students.
