Visiting mosques and creating water colour artwork, learning about pilgrimage and interviewing school staff
During the Upper Primary assembly, 3SG and 3HA students shared what they have learnt about Hari Raya Haji. They visited mosques around Singapore and learnt that a mosque is a place of worship for Muslims. Also, the students learnt what a pilgrimage is and why Hari Raya is a special time for Muslims to visit Mecca. They created a picture of a mosque at night using water colours, crayons and the silhouette of a mosque. Additionally, the students interviewed some school staff and found out that part of the celebration is to have a feast with their family. 3SG and 3HA had a fruit feast and shared lots of different fruits.
