A graduate of the University of Dundee and the University of St. Andrews, Vivienne has joined DCIS from South Ayrshire in Scotland for the 2015-2016 academic year.
In her previous job Vivienne worked with a number of schools from early years to secondary school, and supported a specialist provision for learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders. At a strategic level, she was responsible for the development of local authority and school level supports for pupils with ADHD. This led to the development of innovative practice-sharing models that gained award in Scotland.
Vivienne was also a local area coordinator for the Seasons For Growth program, for individuals who have experienced loss or bereavement. Her interest in attachment theory led to her involvement in a national pilot study to extend Nurture Groups and approaches to a secondary school level. She hopes to develop these areas of experience further at DCIS.
