The U16 girls football team played against ASW last Saturday.  The match started as a close contest until we scored our first goal and at that point we totally dominated with effective passing, good possession and winning tackles.  It was a great team performance and in particular Lettie Martinez was on fire, scoring 5 goals, and Micah Waring dominated the midfield with some fantastic passing, opening up and cutting through the defence.  The result: TBS 7 – ASW 0.

On Tuesday 14 October TBS basketball team will be travelling to Bratislava to take part in a wheelchair basketball match.  TBS will be playing against physically challenged children from VISN Warszawa.

The U12 boys football team are playing in the Diechmann league on Sunday.  The boys are scheduled to have 2 matches with KO at 9.50am.  Boys are to meet at Hawajska 7 at 9.30am.

Last Sunday a group of students took part in the Warsaw Nike 10K run.  They had been training for the past 5 weeks and achieved fantastic times.  The first group came in at 48 minutes, the second group at 53 minutes and the third group finished in one hour.

Last Saturday, we went to the American School to face their under-16 football team. We had a hard start, playing without a goalkeeper and having no subs. Their attacks outnumbered ours, but halfway through the first half our goalkeeper arrived to go in goal, and the match shifted more to our side. It remained balanced for a long time, but just 2 minutes before the end of the first half, George scored his first goal. We had a 1-0 advantage at half-time.

In the second half, we were having a difficult time at the start. But once George scored his second goal, we controlled the match for the rest of the time. Later on, George scored a third goal, making a hat-trick. Few minutes before the end, Marcos assisted with a chip over the defence, allowing George to score a fourth. Just before the final whistle, George still managed to hit a powerful shot but was denied by the crossbar. Full-time, we went home with a 4-0 victory.
