At Nord Anglia International School Al Khor, we make sure that every student gets the support they need to be their best.
Nord Anglia International School Al Khor is committed to providing the best educational experience for ALL students. Special Educational Needs (SEN) supports any child who is unable without additional help, to achieve their best due to challenges in one or multiple areas.
The four areas of need are:
- Cognition and learning
- Communication and interaction
- Social, emotional, mental health (SEMH)
- Sensory and/or physical needs
With good quality teaching and a tailored approach, most children and young people are able to benefit from school education without the need for additional support.
If our teachers can see that your child needs a little more support to flourish, you'll be invited to meet the SEN team, and agree on a targeted pathway forward using an Individual Education Plan (IEP). This is a powerful way to support your child's education, and social growth.
As soon as the additional help is no longer needed, we'll transition your child out of their IEP in a way that feels comfortable for them.
