Launched in 2024, the YEY! Award is a unique award developed by staff at NAISAK and is intended to enable NAISAK students to gather their brilliant entrepreneurial ideas and work with mentors to help communicate their ideas to others.
If you feel you have a great idea that you feel could help benefit the school or Qatar or the Al Khor community, we'd love to hear it.
The primary objective of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award is to encourage and reward the entrepreneurial mindset among our students.
This initiative seeks to identify, support, and celebrate the most promising young entrepreneurs within our NAISAK student community and encourage them to explore their creativity.
All you need to do is choose a category from the list below, decide if you want to work in a team or individually, then build a presentation to convince us of how great your idea is!
The YEY! Awards celebrates entrepreneurial ideas, so the only requirement of you to enter is to be able to communicate your idea to us. You can choose how to do that, either in a printed media, presentation, performance, or any other way you choose! We are excited to see ideas delivered in a way that they get noticed.
The YEY! Award is intended to celebrate entrepreneurial ideas from young people. Participants will be expected to be looking for a way to express their entrepreneurial spirit either individually or within a team.
If you have a great idea or would like to support a great idea and think you have the creativity, leadership, organization or social media skills that could help make a great idea even better, we encourage you to register! You can enter as an individual, bring your own team or be allocated to a team by NAISAK staff, based on your registration details. Just let us know your preference for how you would like to be involved via the REGISTRATION FORM.
At NAISAK we recognise the strength of diverse minds, skills and abilities coming together to build great things, so whether you have a great idea yourself or feel your skills in leadership, organisation, creativity, social media, etc could help bring a great idea to life, then we encourage you to register.
All participants will gain a NAISAK YEY! pack for registering, including a t-shirt, notebook and pen. Each submission will also gain a certificate for their role in the award submission. The award will have two judging rounds and prizes will be awarded at each round. The most compelling submission in each category will be invited to an award ceremony on 27th March 2024 at a VIP event in Qatar (parents included).
A 'Fan Favourite' award will go to the idea that gains the most impact online from your own promotion, through your own channels (meta ‘sentiment’ data will be reviewed to validate the results).
You won’t be alone! To help you develop your idea you will receive support and mentorship from our academic teams, and you may also have the opportunity to run your idea past some business professionals from Qatar so you can enhance or refine it before submission.
In addition, NAISAK have gained the support of a social media Influencer who will be helping you to find interesting and impactful ways to communicate your idea.
