I began my teaching career in 2001, and have since taught in schools in France, La Réunion Island, Abu Dhabi and Qatar.
In my own time, I enjoy windsurfing, and walking and playing with my dogs. I have three daughters: I love doing physical and artistic activities with them.
I think NAISAK is unique because of one very specific factor: students are happy to come to school every day. The atmosphere is very friendly, and our students enjoy learning.
One of my biggest hopes for this year is that my students will learn to love the French language and engage in the lessons so that they can remember what they have learned, and further develop their language skills.
I will ensure that all my students are effectively taking part in all learning sessions by implementing group work according to their academic and social skills. Through personalised teaching, I will promote strategies to develop their communication skills, their writing skills, and of course, their personal skills. I believe that it is important for students to take charge of their learning, and so the strategies that I teach can be used at school and at home.
I will make sure that all parents understand the positive strategies that are used in French sessions by providing parents with all the information necessary for them to help their child succeed in French. These documents will include letters with my objectives/success criteria/evaluation results and strategies to improve language skills. I will also regularly communicate with parents through my students’ communication book. I encourage all parents to email, call or arrange a meeting with me if they have any questions or concerns that they would like to discuss.
