I received my Master of Arts and Bachelor of Education from Shivaji University in India. I moved to Qatar in 2010 and started working for, then Compass International School, in 2012 as a Hindi Teacher. I am a dedicated, resourceful and goal-oriented educator with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every student. I am interested in preparing lesson plans, developing authentic teaching materials, and communicative classroom activities and also focused on teaching through visuals, games, songs, real materials, TPR activities and using technology. I am taking care of this department for the last 8 years.
I have good interpersonal and communication skills, which means I am able to foster meaningful relationships with students, staff and parents. In my spare time, I particularly enjoy cooking and reading motivational books. One of my favorite hobbies is also travelling. I enjoy seeing different places in the world. I think this school is a unique place to work at because it brings together a range of nationalities and allows for progressive and outstanding learning to take place every day.
I believe that it is very important for students to have goals, and I plan to encourage each and every one of my students to set themselves at least one goal this year. If a child sets him/herself goals, it means that they can improve their academic performance, increase their motivation to achieve more, enable pride and satisfaction in their performance, and subsequently, improve their self-confidence.
It is important for teachers to develop strong, positive relationships with their students and their students’ parents. I will communicate with my students’ parents often and in various ways, such as phone calls, emails and meetings. I look forward to sharing with them their child’s every success this year.
