I completed my undergraduate study at the University of Wales, Newport and hold a BA Hons in History and Archaeology and a PGCSE from the University of the West of England, Bristol. I have taught for over 13 years and during this time have worked in schools in Wales, England, Qatar and China. I have been a senior leader in schools for five years overseeing school improvement projects, raising progress and attainment, re-shaping and enhancing pastoral care and undertaking curriculum development across Key Stage 3 and 4 and 5.
Having previously taught in Al Khor and having known about the journey the school has already undertaken it is a real honour to be a part of something that positively impacts upon the lives of the young people and families of Al Khor and I am very happy to be a part of the continued growth, ambition and success of the school. I enjoy travelling with my family, particularly in Asia, visiting exotic locations and experiencing new cultures and new foods. However, we now consider Qatar as our family home and enjoy exploring as much as we can within and around the region. I also enjoy reading and playing guitar in my spare time, but most of all, I enjoy spending my time with my family.
