I have spent the last two years teaching Key Stage One in Doha. I enjoy teaching all ages, especially in Early Years as I love to support children develop early learning habits and gain a passion for learning. In the classroom, I believe practical learning and hands-on experience enhance a child’s ability to learn. I believe in developing my own skills through additional courses and reflection on best practice in the classroom.
I love seeing children involved in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) activities and over the last two years, I have been able to find exciting ways to bring science projects into the classroom as the science lead. I also bring a lot of experience as an Eco-Schools coordinator, helping children to become involved in environmentally friendly outreach projects around Qatar.
In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, going to the gym and reading. Since moving to Qatar I have also enjoyed exploring the local cuisines that are so plentiful around the cities. I love travelling and experiencing new cultures and I try to travel to new places every year in my time off. Joining the team at NAISAK has been fantastic and I am thankful to have been given this brilliant opportunity.
