I am from Belfast in the North of Ireland, and graduated from Stranmillis University College, Queen’s University Belfast in Primary Teaching. I completed my BEd degree with a specialisation in outdoor learning. My experience and interests also include early language development and diversity in the classroom. I have lived and taught abroad in Malta, and here in Doha for the past three years.
I previously taught at Compass International School Doha, a Nord Anglia Education School, where I thoroughly enjoyed being able to teach many different types of students from all cultures and backgrounds. My interest and training in diverse classrooms have allowed me to see the benefits of multicultural schools for both students and staff. I have a passion for Early Years teaching, and I enjoy watching my pupils thrive and explore as well as becoming independent and resilient learners through play. I am looking forward to teaching Early Years once again at NAISAK.
Outside of school, I enjoy traveling and exploring different places and cultures. The opportunities to visit new places was what attracted me to living in the Middle East.
