I graduated with a Bachelor of Education from St. Patrick’s College of Education in Dublin, Ireland in 2007. I then took up a position as a teacher at a wonderful school near my hometown of Newbridge. Throughout my nine years there I gained experience of multiple year groups as well as special education. I also worked as the whole-school ICT Co-ordinator for a number of years. From 2013-2015 I studied part-time in order to gain an MSc. in Education and Training Management from Dublin City University. It was challenging at times to work full time and keep up with my studies, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it made me a more thoughtful and reflective educator.
With nine years of teaching experience under my belt, I made the decision to move abroad to further my career in education. In August 2016 I moved to Qatar to take up a teaching position at a large international school in Doha. During my two years there I taught Year 2 and Year 3. In August 2018 I joined NAISAK and have truly enjoyed working here since then. The school is supportive, progressive and constantly striving to be ambitious for students and staff. It's very exciting to be part of that.
In my spare time I enjoy music, sports and films. I spend most holidays travelling and always find time to visit my family and friends in Ireland.
