Ronan Quinn

Mr Ronan Quinn

Year 5 Teacher

My name is Ronan Quinn, and I was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Following secondary education, I completed a BSc degree in Sport and PE at Liverpool Hope University in England. I then moved to China where I worked as an English teacher for a year. I loved this experience and thoroughly enjoyed working with the children, which led me to complete my Primary PGCE with Physical Education at the University of Cumbria (Lancaster Campus) in England.

During my teacher training year, I worked at three schools located in Blackpool, Bolton and Belfast. International teaching has always interested me, which encouraged me to apply for a position at NAISAK.  My experiences in China made me realise how much I enjoyed learning about other cultures and countries. Therefore, I knew that moving abroad to teach in Qatar would be the right decision for me.

In my spare time, I enjoy travelling to explore new and interesting places. As a keen sportsman I like to play football and Gaelic games, and I am currently learning the guitar which is challenging but rewarding.

Working at NAISAK is very exciting as it allows me to work with children from a range of diverse backgrounds and abilities.  I enjoy working with the NAISAK team, the students and exploring all the opportunities Qatar has to offer.
