Elliot Sarkodie-Addo

Physics Teacher

I graduated from the University of Cape Coast with a degree in Engineering Physics and wanted to be a telecom engineer. Shortly after graduation, I was posted to a secondary school to teach Physics and Mathematics for my mandatory year of national service. That was when I fell in love with teaching. I realised I was always happy when I was in class interacting with young curious minds. I loved the dynamism of teaching; you could not predict what was going to happen in your next lesson even though you are well prepared for the lesson.

I went on to teach in 3 different international schools in Ghana after my national service. I have been teaching for the last 8 years. I taught Physics and Mathematics at KS3, KS4, and KS5 during this period. At my last post before deciding to join NAISAK, I was the Lead Physics and Mathematics teacher.

I also pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the University of Education, Winneba to get me to be recognised as a fully qualified teacher in Ghana.

I enjoy sports and play quite a few of them. I also enjoy cooking in my free time. I am a very hands-on person and enjoy working on projects, experiments, and what have you.

I am excited to be working in this wonderful school with all its prospect and the diversity of all the wonderful people in it.
