I'm so excited to join the NAISAK secondary team as a Teacher of Biology.
Science has always been a passion of mine because it answers 'most' of life's big questions. I studied Biomedical Science BSc at King's College London and chose a lot of physiology modules because I love learning about the way the body works on a cellular level. I also did an anatomy module in my second year where I was able to dissect actual human bodies!
Since finishing my undergraduate degree I have completed my teacher training degree and 3 years of teaching post qualifications. I trained and worked at an Ofsted outstanding secondary school in South London prior to moving to Doha. It was a large school with nearly 2000 pupils on roll. I love working with secondary school pupils because every day brings something new, and they never fail to make me laugh.
I am not new to the Middle East. I grew up in Riyadh and for the past year and half I have been living and teaching in Qatar. I love the culture and laid back way of life in the Middle East, and it feels like a second home to me. I have been enjoying the work life balance in Qatar, and in my free time I enjoy going to the gym and working up a sweat. I find it the best way to keep any stress at bay.
I look forward to joining NAISAK because it is a truly international school with a multicultural staff and student body. Furthermore it is part of the Nord Anglia Education family with links to prestigious institutions that just elevates the student experience, and I'm so excited to get to be a part of it.
