Stacy Bellingham

Director of Special Education Needs

Before teaching, I graduated with a BA Business (HONS) and worked in the field of Organisational Pay and Development. This reinforced how important it is for schools to prepare children and young people for the world of work by building the capacities required to be a successful citizen who can contribute effectively to society. This is when I decided to become a teacher.

I am an experienced and committed teacher who brings enthusiasm and care to my work with children.  I gained my Professional Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of Glasgow and have experience of successfully teaching classes of all age ranges and abilities. I have focused on Special Educational Needs for the past 4 years and believe in a pupil-centered approach ensuring that pupils are active participants in the learning process. It is incredibly fulfilling to help pupils overcome their barriers to learning and watch them succeed.

I am positive, energetic and have an enthusiastic outlook.  I enjoy adventure pursuits, travelling and the great outdoors. When I lived in Qatar previously, I learned how to sail at the Regatta Club in Doha.  What new skills will I learn this time?

I am looking forward to working in an environment that complements my personal values on teaching and learning.  Moreover, I’m looking forward to meeting you all.
