VIRTUAL EARLY YEARS AND PRIMARY SCHOOL

At the British School of Guangzhou, when it comes to teaching our youngest minds, our Early Years and Primary Virtual School combines varied learning techniques to ensure that your child receives a truly stimulating and interactive educational experience. The Virtual School Experience (VSE) is organized around daily home learning packages, which include creative activities in mathematics, reading, and writing.

Through a combination of scheduled ‘live’ teacher-led, online lessons and assigned tasks – including reading comprehension, iPad coding, science experiments, and even physical exercise – our teachers keep our young learners very active while working from home.

We focus on developing their skills and meeting challenging learning targets while having fun and nurturing their curiosity. Additionally, our teachers also arrange personalised feedback sessions and update parents regularly on their child’s progress and achievements.

VIRTUAL SECONDARY SCHOOL

At BSG, our Secondary School VSE follows the regular school timetable through online lessons directed by our students’ own subject-specific teachers. Our teachers arrange regular check-ins and provide comprehensive written and verbal feedback on assignments to ensure our students’ consistent progress throughout periods of VSE.

Our Secondary students thrive through interactive lessons, where they work alongside their classmates on enriching projects and receive individualised attention from their teachers. Our teachers are confident and well prepared to help students access all the knowledge and support available to them, especially for the assessments required when applying to the best universities in the world.

GLOBAL CAMPUS

Nord Anglia’s bespoke online platform, Global Campus, challenges and prepares our students to go beyond their classroom into the wider world, where they have invaluable access to different parts of the world and discover international perspectives on big issues.

All Nord Anglia students from schools across the world safely come together to learn from each other on Global Campus, which is exciting for BSG students to develop friendships with other international students. Whether it’s collaborating remotely to create solutions to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or engaging with experts from MIT and The Juilliard School, BSG students participate in Global Campus’ world class activities while furthering their problem solving.
