On Tuesday 17th November, the Year 3 students set off on their trip to Thu Le Zoo and Lotte Tower.

We were very fortunate to have had such beautiful weather. The excitement on the bus was so evident. School trips are such wonderful opportunities for the teachers and TAs to spend time with the students in an informal, relaxed setting and to get to know them better.

First, we received a guided tour of the zoo where we came face to face with a variety of animals including bears, elephants, ostriches and tigers. We really enjoyed feeding the goats and sheep.  This was followed by student feeding time, which is always a highlight!   The students enjoyed some play time on the bumper cars and train rides. The screams of excitement could be heard far and wide!

Next stop was the colossal skyscraper, the Lotte Tower. We took the ‘magic’ elevator to the 65th floor where we enjoyed some well-earned lunch from Lotteria. The 360 degree panoramic views of Hanoi were something to behold. The students took great joy from locating their homes, Royal City and other landmarks from this bird’s eye view. The observation deck, interactive technology areas and sky box provided lots of entertainment for the students. The students displayed exemplary behavior during the course of the day and were a credit to BVIS.   In summary, everybody had an event-filled and highly enjoyable day.
