About Admissions

Will my child be able to follow if we enrol at BVIS half-way?

Yes, all our programmes are designed to get their Vietnamese and English to national levels as soon as possible in readiness for external examinations at age 16. If your child joins in Year 8, for instance, he/she still has 4 years to prepare for these external examinations. We also provide additional support through our English as a Second Language (ESL) programme.

Will my child who is studying in a Vietnamese school, without any English, be accepted?

This depends on their age and test results and/or school reports. In general, the older the child, the higher our expectations with regard to their English levels, because they should be able to follow the curriculum and be fully prepared for their graduation year exams. However, we also have an excellent English support team, and accept bright students who may initially need assistance with their English, depending on their admissions test results.
