It has been another extremely busy week here at BVIS as we prepare to celebrate TET. One of the very special features of our school is our desire and commitment to celebrate, embrace and protect the Vietnamese culture and traditions. This is most evident at this time of year when we fully embrace and engage in the TET celebrations. The school will spring to life with colour, with dancing, with singing and happiness. It promises to be a truly memorable few days in the school. I look forward to seeing many of you there on Sunday.
Please note that on Wednesday 3rd February, we will be hosting our TET celebration assembly. This will involve many students from Primary and Secondary and it would be fantastic if you were able to join us for this very special event. The performance will start at 9.00am and is scheduled to conclude at 10.20am. I would recommend arriving early to guarantee a seat as the TET assembly is normally a very popular event with many attendees.
Our secondary students had a fantastic time on their residential trips and they have returned to school with much excitement and happy memories of their time away from home. I know you will join me in thanking all the staff, especially the trip leaders who ensured that the students had a great experience. It takes a huge amount planning, preparation and organising to ensure that our residential trips are successful and we are extremely grateful to all the staff for their dedication to this cause. Primary staff are currently working hard on the final preparations for their visits and trips commencing after the TET holiday.
Finally, can I please remind you that school finishes at the normal time on Wednesday 3rd February and children are required to return to school at 8.30am on Tuesday 16th February.
With that in mind it is only a very short week next week so I would like to take this opportunity to wish you, your children, your family and your friends a very happy new year.
