This week in the Primary School

Welcome back!

I hope everyone had a lovely break from school and a special welcome to all our new families who have joined BVIS this term.

International Week 2017

This week we have held our annual “International Week” at BVIS. All children across the school have been learning about a different area of the world as follows:

Early Years

South Korea

Y1 and Y2 groups

Philippines or Thailand or Australia or Cambodia or Japan

Y3

Hawaii and New York

Y4

Italy and Spain

Y5

South Africa, Tanzania and Egypt

Y6

Brazil and Vietnam

The week began with a special assembly when Mr Oliver and I “travelled” in Doctor Who’s famous tardis to all the continents the children are studying this week!

During International Week the children are learning to be global citizens and are developing their enquiry skills. All sorts of learning activities have taken place in geography, dance, music, ICT, art, literacy and more.

It’s been a memorable start to term 2 and 2017!
