Gillie joined BVIS in November 2011 and has enjoyed being a part of the school's development and changes since its first year. She credits her time and experience at BVIS for her passion for teaching. She has a keen interest in how language is acquired and how one might affect the learning of another. She also has a deep affection for Vietnam, its people and its food. She and her husband were married in Mui Ne and her two young children were born here in Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam is a very special place to her family. She has been a long time world traveller and is very thankful for the opportunities that international teaching has given her.
