Maths Teacher

I have been teaching for the past 15 years, including most recently as a Head of Mathematics in Belfast, Ireland. Since studying Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh I have endeavoured to pass my enthusiasm for the subject on to each of my students.  During my career I have been fortunate to teach in England, Ireland and during a Fulbright Teacher Exchange, California.  Throughout this time I have really enjoyed meeting students from a range of different backgrounds and cultures, and I am excited to continue this journey as part of the BISB school community.

Maths Learning at BISB

Since living in California I have been an avid supporter of the Golden State Warriors, although I suspect that may soon become the Celtics! I am also a fan of contract bridge and have played regularly in national competitions in Ireland. I love travelling and am looking forward to exploring New England. I will be living in Boston with my wife, Ali.

What makes this school different

BISB is different from my previous workplaces due to the diversity of its students. I am also excited to teach in a school that provides such a strong sense of community for pupils from Nursery through to high school.
