I am currently in my 17th year of teaching English and have held a variety of leadership roles at several schools. My leadership and management experience includes: seven years as Assistant Head of Year – at two very different teaching establishments; Head of Media Studies for 2 years; Head of English for 9 years; and Head of High School for 4 years.
When I was interviewed for my post at the British International School of Boston, I knew that the school prioritized students and learning. The focus is on the progress of the individual child, with no-one left behind. I have not been disappointed. Being a member of Nord Anglia Education and the introduction of High Performance Learning, this is even more prevalent.
Learning in the IGCSE
I have always been passionate about running and have completed the Chicago marathon. I enjoy music and have embraced the live music scene in Boston.
What makes BISB unique?
The British International School of Boston is a vibrant, forward thinking school with boundless ambition and potential. Since my arrival, in August 2012, I have been impressed by the attitudes of the students, staff and vision of the school. As its slogan suggests, BISB truly is international, individual and inspirational. BISB is a great foundation for our students who graduate with one of the world's most prestigious High School diplomas, the International Baccalaureate.
