Joanna Brown

Staff Profile - Joanna Brown

Learning Support Coordinator and Primary SEN Teacher

Joanna Brown has a Masters in Education Degree in International Education Administration from Endicott College. She joins Northbridge International School Cambodia from Stonehill International School in Bangalore, India where she was an MYP SEN teacher.

  • BA Psychology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  • Master of Education in International Education Administration from Endicott College
  • SEN and EAL (EL-12), Generalist (EC-4) and Mathematics (EL-8) teaching certifications

With a BA in psychology, Joanna began teaching special education for pre-kindergarten/ kindergarten age students in Austin, TX, USA, for three years before moving abroad in 2008. She then taught in South America for another three years as a third grade generalist and a gifted and talented instructor and program designer. After returning to Austin and teaching kindergarten, Joanna moved overseas again for the opportunity to teach MYP special education needs and EAL at an IB World school in India. During her four years there,  Joanna completed a Master in Education in International Education Administration from Endicott College.

In addition to her educational roles, Joanna is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. She enjoys writing poetry, painting, the fiber arts, jewelry design, pilates, scuba diving, running and swimming. Like most international teachers, Joanna thrives off learning about new places, people and cultures, and she looks forward to further exploring this beautiful country.
