Jyll Cox

Staff Profile - Jyll Cox

Early Learning 3 Teacher

Jyll trained in Canada as a primary school teacher and has worked in Canada, Japan and England.  She comes to Northbridge International School Cambodia from ACS International Schools in England where she taught Grades one, two and three.

  • Bachelor of Education, University of Alberta, Canada
  • Masters in International Education, Endicott College, USA

Jyll qualified as a teacher in Canada in 2000, with a bachelors of Education from the University of Alberta. Jyll spend two years working in Canada and then went off to teach in Japan for seven years as an EAL specialist first in a language school, then in Waseda University and finally at at Tokyo International School, where she taught Pre-K to Grades Two. During her time there she studied and completed her Masters degree in International Education from Endicott College based in the USA. Jyll also met her husband whilst working in Tokyo and followed him to his home country of England to continue her international teaching career in ACS Egham International School in Surrey, England.  Whist in England Jyll got married, had two children and taught grades One, Two and Three.

Jyll enjoys spending time with her family, reading and doing outdoor activities. Since coming to Cambodia, Jyll has been exploring and discovering the culture and food. She has also loved meeting many interesting people. She hopes to visit and learn more about the other areas of the country during her time here.  She is very happy to have been accepted into the Northbridge community and is looking forward to working with all of the wonderful staff, students and families.
