Kate Watson-Penhall

Staff Profile - Kate Watson

Grade 1 Teacher and Learning Leader

Kate Watson-Penhall is the Learning Leader in Grade 1. This is her third year teaching at Northbridge, having previously taught in Beijing, China and the UK.

  • BA (Hons) English Studies, University of Nottingham

  • Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (Primary), University of Leeds

  • MA International Education, University of Leicester

This is Kate’s tenth year of teaching, and her eighth year of teaching internationally. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies from the University of Nottingham, UK, and she then received her Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Leeds, UK. She has also completed her Masters in International Education at the University of Leicester. Kate taught in Leeds for two years, then began her international teaching career by moving to iCAN British International School in Phnom Penh, before moving on to lead teams at Yew Chung International School of Beijing for three years. For the last two years, she has taught in Grade 5 here at Northbridge, and has moved to Grade 1 this year, where she continues her role as Learning Leader.
