    Head of Secondary

    Ben Holman

I have a BSc in Human Geography from Brunel University, MA in European Studies from The Catholic University of Leuven and P.G.C.E in Secondary Geography from The University of Exeter.

I have been a teacher for 11 years, 7 of which as an MYP Individual and Societies Teacher and DP Geography Teacher, plus Extended Essay Supervisor.  At my first school in the UK, a National Curriculum School, I also taught KS3/4 P.E.

I have held various leadership positions for 7 years in both national and international settings.

Some of my professional achievements include my first ever DP Standard Level Geography class scoring a whole point above the world average and I loved every minute of teaching them!

As Head of Secondary at my previous school in Colombia, some of my career highlights which I was proud to oversee included, successful IB Programme evaluations for MYP & DP, significantly raising and maintaining DP results, nuturing an inclusive learning environment, developing a Learning Support Department and creating a happy learning environment (with teacher accountability) based on shared values and finally transforming student learning through an eLearning plan.
