Sarah Jayne Osborne James is the School Principal at Northbridge International School Cambodia in August 2015 and has over eighteen years of teaching and leadership experience in International Education.
Sarah was born and raised in Birmingham in the UK and graduated from the University of Warwick with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She has a certificate of International School Leadership with the Principals Training Center and has a Masters of Education in International Education Administration from Endicott College, Beverly Massachusetts.
Sarah is a passionate and progressive, visionary leader who loves to empower members of her school community. She believes collaboration is the key to success and is committed to global education.
After teaching in a Primary School in the UK for three years, she began her overseas teaching career in Colombia. Over the last fifteen years Sarah has worked in two different International Baccalaureate (IB) schools in Bogota, Colombia and has held various leadership roles across the three IB Programmes (PYP, MYP & DP). Sarah currently serves on the IB Heads Council an advisory group that serves the Director General in strategic issues affecting IB World Schools.
Whilst in Colombia Sarah was an Executive Board member of the Latin American Heads Association and UNCOLI the Union for International Schools in Colombia. Sarah has collaborated with the Council of International Schools; chairing accreditation team visits around the world.
Sarah fell in love with Asia in her younger years travelling and has always wanted to return to Asia to live and work where she is fascinated with Asian culture.
Sarah is married to Chris who is also an educator and Football Coach and has a 12-year-old son Zachary.
