Lucia Mancini 2017-2018

Learning Assistant for Ms. Townsend

I love art, children's literature, and music. I grew up in Riverside, Illinois and recently moved into Chicago proper. It is such a lively city and every neighborhood feels like a different world. I could be here for years and never know the full extent of Chicago's spirit.

Learning must be personalized to each student because life is personal and brilliance lies in individual differences. The eccentricities in a child's mind that may make it difficult for them to flourish in a "typical" classroom setting are the same eccentricities that allow for that brilliance. We eliminate the potential for creative thought when we try to cram children into a mold.
