James Haenes 2016

Director of Communications

I moved to Chicago over a decade ago and love everything this city has to offer. I'm an avid reader here, love to travel around the world, and happiest when I've got my headphones plugged in, staring out at the beach somewhere.

Professionally speaking, I have more than ten years marketing & communications experience with a specialty in digital & social media as well as web & video production. Through my work, I've had the opportunity to attend youth conferences and festivals from Mexico City to the Czech Republic, inspiring students to become future leaders on the global stage. In addition, I have a MA in humanities (writing, communications, analysis) and a BA in literary studies (minor in education) from the University of Texas at Dallas. As the 2016 to 2017 academic school year approaches, I'm especially proud to be a part of Mrs. Curtis's exceptionally gifted team of senior leaders, teachers, specialists, and support staff.

As a Nord Anglia Education team member, it's a distinct honor to bring together the global community with our very own Lincoln Park neighborhood through effective communications that inspire, engage, and encourage all of our families to be ambitious for our students.

Being a part of the BISC Lincoln Park team is particularly meaningful to me when I think of our campus's overarching mission: to provide an ever-evolving experience for ever-evolving learners. We can only accomplish this when students believe there are no limits to what they can achieve, that creativity and challenge will help them get better every day, that learning should be a personalized experience, and that they have access to global opportunities at their fingertips. I'm proud of our BISC Lincoln Park team who all ensure that this happens each and every day.
