I am originally from Milton Keynes in the South of England but studied for my degree at the University of Nottingham. Before joining British International School of Chicago - Lincoln  Park, I taught in Birmingham as part of the Teach First program. I have also lived in France for a number of years. I love to paint and my favorite place to visit in Chicago is the Art Institute. I also love spending time at the lake and exploring all the amazing buildings in the city. My favorite place to take visitors is Lincoln Park Zoo to see the incredible view of the skyline.

I grew up in a small village on the west coast of Scotland. I have a love for travel and enjoy experiencing new cultures and languages. I moved to Chicago in 2009 and have since got married and had our first child. The thing I most love about Chicago is it's diverse neighborhoods and their strong feeling of community, we very much enjoy exploring each of these, particularly during the summer months with their neighborhood festivals.

I was born and grew up in a small town in Devon, in the southwest of England. I enjoy traveling, learning new languages, and experiencing different cultures. I love living near the lake in Chicago - one of my favorite things to do is to walk along the lakefront path and admire the scenery.

I am an avid language learner and world traveler; nothing is more exciting than visiting a new country and speaking a new language. In recent years, I have been working on perfecting my Swedish and am now starting to learn Italian. I shamelessly follow the Eurovision Song Contest and listen to a lot of terrible European pop music. I love Chicago for the reason that it has that big city feel, while still having a variety of individual neighborhoods with their own characteristics. I come from the West Highlands of Scotland and grew up with spectacular views of mountains and islands, but Chicago’s varied urban landscape fascinates me every time I look out of the window.
