Charmian Lyons

Charmaine Lyons

Music Leader

I was born in Kingston Upon Hull where I grew up playing various musical instruments from an early age. Some years later, I moved to Sheffield to pursue a bachelor's degree in music. Following my time at university, I moved to London and worked in the music industry for five years before relocating again to Manchester where I trained to be a teacher at the Royal Northern College of Music. Having previously held the position Head of Music at BISC Lincoln Park and been heavily involved in the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme, I am excited to rejoin the BISC-LP team and return to Chicago, a stunning city which I have come to consider my second home.I really enjoy working with such a friendly, talented, and supportive staff team here at BISC-LP . The pupils are great and there are many fun activities and events that take place at school. It can be a busy place but staff are always ready and willing to help each other out.

I truly believe that there is no limit to what each student can achieve and that it is my role to enable each and every one of my students to unlock their creative potential.
