Staff Profile: Jennifer Steiner

Jennifer Steiner

Director of External Affairs

I started my theatre career as a stage manager, working at various theatre and ballet companies along the west coast. I then moved into upper management as Company Manager of Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, WA. 4 years ago I took the opportunity to come home to Houston and accepted the General Manager position at Houston Ballet. Having worked in non-profit arts organizations my entire career, the British International School Houston seems like it might be a good segue out of the arts. I am excited to help open the new theatre, introduce the school to the community and share my experience with the students, teachers, staff and parents.

I have a wonderful husband, Jeff and son, Mathias; I like all types of social dancing, especially swing; I enjoy movies and attempt to see all of the Academy nominated movies prior to the Academy Awards night (this is not often accomplished); I enjoy gardening, but not the mosquitos; I love old cars - especially my 1968 Mustang and my father’s Austin Healey.
