Staff Profile: Stephanie Doyle

Stephanie Doyle Primary Early Years Teacher

Reception Class Teacher

After completing a degree in Law, I studied for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, specialising in the early years. I have been teaching since 2011 and without doubt it has been an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding experience teaching children from a wide variety of cultures.

I enjoy being an active member of the school community and giving the children a wide range of experiences both within and outside of school. One of my proudest achievements has been raising the profile of sport within school. My personal highlights have included choreographing dance routines for a countywide dance festival and arranging for the school football team to visit a local premier football club to watch and meet the players.

It has long since been my ambition to teach in an international school. When I read the mission statement for the British International School of Houston; especially the section on core values, I felt that the school’s philosophy of learning matched my own.

I have a love of travel and have been fortunate enough to visit many places around the world. My main hobbies include practising Pilates, going to concerts and reading. I particularly enjoy literature on twentieth century American history. My personal aspirations are to learn another language and become an early years advisor.
