Brooks Takes to the Stage in Switzerland

ICS Grade 5 student Brooks Finkel tells us about his experience at the Juilliard Summer Arts Programme held in July 2017 at our sister school College du Leman.

What interested you in taking part on the Juilliard Summer Arts Programme?

Because I love to act and sing and I wanted to improve all of that over the summer at Julliard which is recognised as the best school in the world.

What part of the programme did you enjoy the most, what was the most fun thing you did?

The programme was not just about acting and singing. I got to meet people from all over the world and we got to do other super cool stuff as well as sight-seeing around Geneva visiting castles and ancient villages, visiting a chocolate factory, playing laser tag and much more, it was a wonderful 2 weeks.

What do you want to be when you’re older?

I would love to be involved in the music and film business, maybe as an actor, maybe as a singer or writer.
What did you learn on the programme?

I learned many new acting skills, and I learned that what I am passionate about is much harder than I think it is and that there are many talented people that have the same dream as I do.

Would you recommend the summer programme to your friends and classmates?

If you are an actor, singer, dancer or passionate musician there is no better place to go!
