Our IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)
At International College Spain, Madrid, our 11 to 16-year-olds follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP).
Our IB MYP curriculum provides a firm academic foundation for our international middle school students, with specialist subjects delivered through cross-curricular themes, topics, and projects. It also focuses on the development of essential attitudes, skills, and values.
Our exceptional IB teachers don’t just teach facts and knowledge; they teach our students how to learn and give them control over their education.
- In Grades 6-8, our teachers will help your child hone their creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
- In Grades 9-10, your child will take charge of their learning, as they immerse themselves in projects that deepen their understanding of key concepts and ideas.
The IB MYP encourages our students to make practical connections between their studies and real-life scenarios, too. Your child will also explore global issues and learn to empathise with others. This prepares them for success both now and in the future.
Outside of the curriculum, our students take part in a variety of activities that complement their academic studies. These include life-changing trips, as well as creative, sporting, social, and outreach opportunities.
