Kelly graduated with a degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University in 2006. After taking classes in Educational and Child Psychology she decided to switch her focus to teaching. After teaching ESL for three years in South Korea, Kelly moved to Queensland, Australia to acquire her Masters in Teaching at Griffith University. She graduated at the top of her class, and wrote her dissertation on motivation in the literacy curriculum. Kelly has experience teaching the Australian, Canadian and British curriculum from her seven years of living abroad.
Kelly joined the BISS Early Years Cubs in August 2014. She is excited for the new challenge of teaching and living in a city as wonderful as Shanghai.In her spare time Kelly enjoys being outdoors and engaging in activities such as kayaking, pickle ball, swimming, hiking, and bicycling.
When the weather is cold she is often found playing board games, reading or engaging in arts and craft projects. Kelly loves to travel and is inspired by the beautiful places she encounters around the world. She is looking forward to volunteering in India next summer. Kelly is looking forward to her new adventure in Shanghai and cannot wait to explore the city.
