Staff Profile: Natalie Boon

Natalie Boon

Year 1 Class Teacher

Natalie graduated from the University of Cumbria in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education, specialising in the Advanced Study of Early Years Education.  Since graduating she has taught classes within both the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage One in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. Throughout her career she has taken on the additional roles of Computing coordinator, Mathematics coordinator and Year Group Leader.

Natalie is a passionate and nurturing teacher who encourages all of her pupils to reach their full potential by providing them with varied, interesting and differentiated lessons that cater for their different learning styles. Her enthusiastic teaching approach ensures that the pupils she teaches are engaged and eager to learn.

In August 2015, Natalie will join the Early Years Cubs team as a Reception class teacher.  She is excited about joining the staff at BISS Puxi and is particularly looking forward to meeting the children and their families.

Natalie relishes the experience of working in international settings and joins us from our Nord Anglia school in Abu Dhabi.  The decision to move to Shanghai and join the team at BISS Puxi seemed natural to her as she has always wanted to work and live in China and was keen to stay within the Nord Anglia family of schools.

Natalie enjoys spending her spare time keeping fit and regularly takes part in classes at the gym.  She is excited to explore the activities on offer here in Shanghai.  She is also a keen traveller and loves to visit her friends and family who are scattered across the globe.
