Amy studied Biology at the University of Portsmouth and upon graduation she immediately relocated to work in a busy research lab in Manchester. It was whilst supporting undergraduate students that she decided to train as a teacher and she successfully completed a PGCE in Science Education at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2008.
Amy works very hard to ensure all of her students succeed and was well known at her previous school for her approachable nature. In July 2015 she received the SSAT Lead Practitioner accreditation and felt the time was right for an even bigger challenge, hence the move to Shanghai! She is very much looking forward to the new challenges ahead at BISS Puxi.
In her spare time Amy enjoys reading and amateur photography. She spent the summer travelling along Route 66 with her family and over the coming years hopes to make the most of the travel opportunities in Asia. She is looking forward to exploring Shanghai with her husband and two young children and hopes to learn some Mandarin while she is here.
