Staff Profile: Marion Sands


Year 5 Teacher / PSHE & Citizenship Leader

This is my ninth year living in Vietnam. The warmth of the people, the rich culture, the wonderful staff and children at BIS will make it very hard to ever leave!

Marion joined BIS in 2008 and has been working in both a full time and part time capacity. Following the completion of her PGDE, (Targeted Graduate) Marion has 15 years of teaching experience, 7 of which was spent internationally in Mexico and Vietnam. Throughout her teaching career she has taught both Primary and Secondary fulfilling a variety of roles, ranging from Head of PE (Primary & Secondary), Primary coordinator for Personal Development, Health & Physical Education, as well as teaching Biology, International Life Skills, IGCSE PE and Art and she is now focussing on Primary classroom teaching. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children and enjoying the outdoors, sports, especially gymnastics, swimming, running, surfing and yoga.
