Staff Profile: Lucy Jackson


Science Teacher / Biology & Chemistry

I came to Vietnam having travelled South East Asia and fallen in love with the rich and diverse culture on this side of the Earth. I could not resist the opportunity to be able to share my love of Science with the bright and motivated students at the British International School. 

BSc (Hons) Natural Sciences – University of Durham, UK 

PGCE Secondary Science (Biology) – University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK

Lucy graduated from the University of Durham in 2009 and the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2010. Since then, Lucy has taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Newcastle School for Boys – Biology and Chemistry to Advanced Level. Lucy was promoted to the position of Head of Chemistry in 2012. Lucy has been a form tutor to boys from age 10 to 18. Lucy has enjoyed co-running the Duke of Edinburgh programme, PADI diving courses and sailing galas. Lucy enjoys travelling, reading crime novels, netball, Gaelic football and any food-related activities.
