Joanne Prabhu, our Head of Primary at The British School, Warsaw welcomes you to our exceptional school, offering excellence in British education from Pre-Nursery to Year 6. Transition then takes place to our Secondary School for children aged 11-18.
At The British School, Warsaw we are known for academic distinction. We are committed to helping every child in our care to be the best that they can be. Throughout our 20-year history in Warsaw, we have grown to be the premium international school in Poland. This is reflected in our increasing academic achievements across all stages of a child’s progression through the school. From our strong parental links and by consistently offering support and challenge, our students are continually developing skills, acquiring knowledge and demonstrating their understanding through learning and development.
Our specialised Early Years Foundation Stage Programme promotes teaching and learning to ensure children are ready for school and gives children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life. In each area of learning, there are expectations of achievement known as the Early Learning Goals. These form the knowledge, skills and understanding that children should have acquired by the end of the Foundation Stage.
As a member of Nord Anglia Education, our mission is ‘Helping Others Thrive”. We provide an engaging and diverse curriculum that develops student interests beyond formal lessons. We offer a wide variety of Learning and Enrichment Activities Programme (called LEAP), which includes a variety of sports and Performing Arts clubs (Jazz Band, Choir, Art, Dance, Drama). We uphold the belief in high performance for all. Students leave our school prepared to thrive and contribute in the modern world as global citizens.
Our Primary School is especially proud of its development of future leaders. We provide a wide variety of leadership opportunities for students including Student Council, Community Service, Athletic Teams, Supporting Peers, Publications, and Performing Arts to name a few. Students are able to develop confidence and refine their skills, which will serve them long after graduation.
Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions facing parents. In order to support you in that decision, we highly recommend that you come and visit us and see our students actively learning in a variety of ways.
I look forward to meeting you and your family.
