The Global Library Reading Challenge

The Global Library Reading Challenge is an initiative for KS3 and KS4 that promises to take our students on an exciting reading adventure. It encourages young people to read quality books selected by Nord Anglia’s Global Library, and they have been carefully chosen to represent an international selection.

BISB’s library has purchased multiple copies of the 8 short-listed books for KS3 and these are available for pupils to loan. There are also several copies of all the books on the Global Library lists for KS3 and 4 in the school library for those who would like to read them all.

All pupils in Key Stage 3 mainstream English classes will be expected to read the 8 short-listed books and voting for the best book will take place during Secondary Book Week in March 2018. There is a similar challenge for our EAL pupils with graded reading books which are also available from the library.

Happy reading everyone!
