Our British international school was founded in Bratislava in 1997 by Nord Anglia Education. We opened our doors to 42 students whose parents wanted their children to get a truly international education. Today, we’re a flourishing community of over 750 students from more than 40 countries.
We’ve always believed in the importance of exceptional learning experiences. Our students have been taking part in the Model United Nations and The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award for 15 years, and supporting community projects across the globe for a decade. Over the years, we’ve come up with new ways to inspire our students, too, including collaborations with The Juilliard School and MIT, and life-changing expeditions to Tanzania.
Our class of 2008 was the first to follow the IBDP programme at the British International School Bratislava (BISB). Ever since, our students have continually raised the bar. In 2021, IB students achieved the best results in the history of our school, with an average points score of 37.4, which is 4 points above the global average. After more than 25 years, our international school in Bratislava continue to offer a world of opportunities that nurture our children to become ambitious, caring, and creative global citizens.
