PORTAL AND APPS

At the British international School Bratislava (BISB), we use the very best EdTech to enhance your child’s education. Our Firefly virtual learning environment (VLE) supports truly personalised learning, enabling teachers to track students’ progress, input into their work, and set tasks.

Firefly also brings together other elements of your child’s time at school, including extra-curricular achievements and photo galleries showing what they’ve been up to. Really importantly, it creates a connection between home and school, giving you full access to your child’s education.

Trips and Expeditions
One-of-a-kind expeditions and residential trips create memories that last a lifetime. In Tanzania and Switzerland, our students challenge themselves and learn about others. Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS)
Our CAS programme encourages IBDP students to learn beyond the classroom. Over the course of a year, your child will experience the three CAS topics. For creativity, they might learn an instrument. Activity could involve joining an after-school sports club or playing chess. And for service, students are encouraged to make a difference in our community.

When you first apply, we’ll ask you to send us your completed online application form; a copy of your child’s passport; a copy of recent school reports; and SEN reports (if applicable).

Once your child’s place and start date are confirmed, you'll need to send us an education agreement; consent forms; responsibility for fees form; a copy of your child's health insurance; a transfer form (on request from the admissions team); and vaccination confirmation (only for our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children).
